Prayer is central to our worship together and for each of us individually. In our worship, we draw from the rich tradition of prayer in the Anglican communion, past and present, as well as from Christians and the church Fathers throughout the history of the church to help us approach our Lord in unity. We encourage prayer individually as well, believing that we cannot presume to know, love, and serve God without opening our hearts to him in prayer. In prayer we approach God with thanksgiving, we confess our sins and our need of his grace, we seek God’s will, we intercede for one another. Prayer lies at the heart of our worship and fellowship with God. The following are a few resources that may help you approach God in prayer. Sacred Space, a guided prayer site by Irish Jesuits Pray-as-you-go, daily prayer audio files in the Lectio Divina tradition (highly recommended) |
