Our approach to worship:
… is designed to connect with the hearts and minds of a diverse, multi-generational community in contemporary and fresh expressions of worship, leading us in a vibrant relationship with Jesus.
… at the same time, we gratefully worship in the historic traditions of the early church — in an interactive liturgy including Scripture and Sacrament (most particularly Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, or Eucharist, instituted by Jesus himself).
Our music is led by a team of gifted vocalists and instrumentalists and ranges from Wesley and Bach to Matt Redman and Andrew Peterson.
The 8:30 a.m. service on Sunday mornings is a bit more formal with more traditional music. Clergy will wear robes, and we follow the 1979 Rite II Order of Worship.
The 10:45 a.m. service is more casual and contemporary in format and feeling. Often clergy will not wear robes, with more praise songs along with traditional hymns, more extemporaneous prayer, occasional times of personal sharing by those in the congregation, etc. We use Anglican liturgy from the Church of England, Diocese of Sydney, and Provinces of Kenya and Rwanda.
