Clergy & Staff

Meet the people who are faithfully serving the Holy Trinity family, and if you haven’t yet, reach out to get to know them!

circle-mburnettThe Rev. Matt Burnett, Senior Pastor/Rector

Most importantly I am married to Lauren, 31 years now, and father to 3 sons: Chris (23 years), Jeremy (21 years), and Alex (16 years). I am originally from Dallas, Texas and attended Texas A&M University where I played soccer and received undergraduate and graduate degrees (whoop!). After graduate school I went to work for Compassion International – where Lauren currently works –   and Lauren and I and, eventually, the boys lived overseas twice. I am deeply grateful and humbled to have traveled and worked all over the world with amazing people. I later founded and was Owner/President of Knowledge Builders Inc., a very small technical training and consulting company – so much fun!

In 2002 I received my M. Div. from Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh and after serving as Assistant Pastor at two churches, Lauren and I and a few other families planted Holy Trinity Anglican Church in January of 2004. In August 2009 Holy Trinity and Christ the King integrated and we have been a single congregation ever since! It is not just pastor talk to say that it is my humble privilege and great love to serve as Senior Pastor here at Holy Trinity and with the other clergy and staff that you can read about on this page. Please call/email/Facebook me if you have any questions or thoughts regarding Holy Trinity or would like to share what God is doing with you!

circle-tenneyRev. Debra Tenney, Deacon

Deb is a native of Pennsylvania and now calls Colorado home. She has a BA in English from Juniata College, a MA in Management from Central Michigan University, and a MA in Christian Studies from Denver Seminary. Deb came to HTAC from the Episcopal Church in 2007 and was ordained deacon in 2009. She retired from the Army Reserve Medical Service Corps in 2006 after 31 years of service, and in 2011 from the Air Force Civil Service where she served for the past five years as Chaplain Planner and Faith Based Interagency Coordinator for NORAD/US Northern Command. She is now an independent consultant. Deb is the mother of two children; Lynn, an Air Force first lieutenant and Alex, a student at UCCS.

Rev. Jim Dorman, Deacon

Jim grew up in the coastal areas of the Gulf of Mexico in southern Alabama and Louisiana. He is a 1977 graduate of the “Olde War Skule” at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, after which he spent over 26 years on active duty as a commissioned officer in the US Air Force. Jim came to faith in Christ in his late teens in the early 1970s. He and Susanne (a fourth generation Californian from Sacramento) have been married over 37 years and are the parents of three children and the proud grandparents of four eminently bright, talented and good looking grandchildren. Jim and Susanne spent most of their adult / child rearing years as charismatic – pentecostal – evangelical Christians. Since 2009 they have responded to the Lord’s call to become Anglican Christians, living out the Christian life on the Canterbury Trail. Jim holds graduate degrees in both Physics (University of California – Davis) and Theology (Oxford University), and has a keen interest in the intersection of science, theology and philosophy. Ordained to the Diaconate in October 2015, he currently leads a small group for men on Friday mornings and serves at liturgical services as often as possible.
