Choose an Item, Choose a Team

  1. Choose an item:

NOTE: This is not to say that no one is working here. Much is going on and sometimes you are volunteering to come alongside a current worker, sometimes it will be starting from scratch.  Either way, Matt or someone will walk with you to find a sustainable way to move these projects forward.

  • Every quarter Meet w/Matt to ask, essentially, one question: What is the next good thing to do in our area of concern?
  • Each team will have a Leadership Team member on it, but not leading it. This will help for coherence amongst the various teams
  • Each full team of interested members will have a core of 3-5 people who Matt can consult with between quarterly meetings.

Worship

  • Assist Altar Guild
  • Help Dennis w/Acolytes
  • Ongoing training with Readers, Intercessors
  • Sound Team and Slides
  • Help walk people through a funeral or a wedding
  • Help w/marriage counselling, if equipped

Discipleship

  • Children’s Minister, or assist Michelle and Stephanie
  • Teach Teaching and Community Time (TCT), or Children’s Church
  • Offer to assist Youth Discipleship – Ben Holsteen
  • Offer to assist Kevin Brooks w/combined, or separate, MS/HS
  • Assist Summer VBS
  • Research lessons plans for different ages for the Integrated Spirituality/Catechism, e.g., parents of late elementary research that area, Middle Schoolers, etc. Interestingly, Pinterest is a wide ranging source, Google, amazon, etc.
  • Teach an Introduction to Anglicanism 101 Class from a chosen book
  • Teach a Sacraments 101 Class from a chosen book
  • Organize or volunteer with VBS

Fellowship

  • Join a parish group, consider leading one
  • Annual Retreat
  • Hanging of the Greens
  • Easter Feast
  • 5th Sunday Potlucks
  • Come on a RW Trip in 2017
  • Serve on RW Team
  • Organize and Manage a Visitation “system”

Outreach and Evangelism

  • Be a “caseworker” for a person in need
  • Member/Leader of Outreach Committee —
  • Liberty Heights – Sunday morning coverage/more integration w/HTAC – David Sachsenmaier is very active, but needs a partner
  • Help Jim Dorman w/Pastoral Visitation, Counseling, etc.
  • Assist with Special Services (e.g. weddings)

Administration and Communications

  • HTAC Communications Planning and Implementation- Dillon
  • Create new website, possibly using WordPress template.
  • Take a quarter of Treasurer-ing
  • Support Dick Battersby in Facility Committee and related tasks
  • Populate CCB software
  • Further organize the files on HTAC Dropbox

  • Will ask, essentially, one question: What is the next good thing to do in our area of concern?

  • If a core team member, consider further training, even a diploma, or some formal education, like a distance program from Trinity School for Ministry, paid for by the church.

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family … to personally encounter God in Sunday worship as well in “worshipful” living.

Discipleship

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family … to deepen our personal and corporate relationship with God in mind, heart, and will.

Fellowship

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family … to ensure that no one suffers alone and that everyone has an opportunity for friendship here at Holy Trinity.

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family … to stand shoulder to shoulder with our Rwandan family?

Outreach

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family … to personally share (maybe through parish groups) the good news about God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in proclamation, and in acts of care?

Administration and Communications

What is the next good thing to do to equip our church family to contribute towards the ministry of administration and organization, e.g., communications, facilities, and finances?
