HTAC Small Groups, Fall 2007If you don't see one below that suits you, tell me and we'll try to get another one started! Contact pastor Matt. Tuesday Morning Contemplative Prayer and Spiritual DisciplinesDeep reading of Scripture and contemplative prayer are our starting points. Our goal is to go deeper with God and turn more and more of our lives over to him through prayer and other Christian spiritual disciplines. It's like going into a spiritual gym--quite a workout, quite a challenge, but worth it! Who: All welcome. Tuesday Evening Bible StudyThe Bible study will continue our study of the Gospel of Luke. Who: All welcome. Wednesday Evening Discipleship GroupAnnie and Jamey Nordby will be hosting a small group with a fairly specific focus: learning what the Bible says about following Jesus, studying books by authors who expound on those ideas that form us into Christ-likeness, and implementing specific spiritual disciplines, deliberately putting into practice what we learn. Who: All welcome. Thursday Morning Men's GroupMen gather to read and discuss a book as well as support one another in prayer and fellowship. Typically we choose a book to read and discuss. No book chosen yet for fall. Who: All men welcome. Women’s GroupWho: All women welcome Friday Evening Lectionary Bible StudyAdults and High School Upperclassmen meet after dinner for lectionary study and prayer time, while younger members head downstairs for abbreviated lesson study and fellowship. Families take turns providing simple meal (i.e. pizza, chicken, Chinese, etc.) Great way to end your work week/start the weekend/refocus in a relaxed informal setting, and supercharge your Sunday worship by having studied the weekly scripture readings beforehand. Who: Members of Holy Trinity Anglican, but attended by family/friends/neighbors belonging to other churches as well. Attendance varies between 6-12 for adult study, plus that many young people. |
